Create your own blog

Step 1 – Create a Google account.

  1. Go to Blogger.com
  2. Click on “Create a Blog”
  3. Enter your email address, choose a password and enter your “Display Name”
  4. complete the word verification request and accept terms of service.
  5. Click “continue”
  6. You will receive an email asking you to verify your request.

Step 2 – Creating a new blog

  1. Create and enter a Blog title – Use your Keywords
  2. Choose a blog url (address) – Once again, choose carefully and use keywords. e.g. joesmithrealestate.blogspot.com (you don’t need to enter the “blogspot.com) If the url you requested is not available then you will be asked to re-enter a different name.
  3. complete the word verification request and click “continue”
  4. Choose a template – Choose one of the displayed templates and click “continue”
  5. Congratulations – Your blog has been created and you can now click on “start blogging”

Step 3 – Posting articles

  1. Choose a title – Again, use your keywords and be descriptive
  2. Write your content and be descriptive with your words. Keep your articles relevant and……..use your keywords.
  3. Add images and videos by using the toolbar
  4. to ad a link highlight the word that you want to appear as a link then select the “link” button in the toolbar. (it’s the little green globe with the chain link) enter the url address of the website where you want to link to.
  5. Click “Publish Post” when your finished and it will be loaded to your blog.

Step 4 – Submitting Blog to search engines (Click the search engine and follow the prompts)

  1. Google
  2. Yahoo
  3. Bing (MSN)
  4. 50 Other Search Engines

Step 5 – Continue to update your blog regularly. Remember Search engines love content, they love keywords and links to your site from relevant websites.
